Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2025

Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2025 is a state-level examination conducted once a year for candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary (Classes I to V) and upper primary (Classes VI to VIII) schools in Uttar Pradesh.

  • Exam Pattern: UPTET consists of two papers:
    • Paper I: For candidates aspiring to teach Classes I to V (Primary Level)
    • Paper II: For candidates aspiring to teach Classes VI to VIII (Upper Primary Level)
    Each paper contains 150 multiple-choice questions for 150 marks. The duration for each paper is 150 minutes. There is no negative marking.

    • Language I (Hindi/English)
    • Language II (Hindi/Sanskrit/English/Urdu)
    • Mathematics
    • Environmental Studies
  • Paper II Subjects:

    • Language II (Hindi/Sanskrit/English/Urdu)
    • Mathematics and Science or Social Studies (as per candidate's subject selection)
  • Eligibility: Candidates must meet the minimum educational qualifications as per the norms set by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB).
  • Exam Mode: Offline (Pen and Paper)
  • Certification Validity: 7 years
  • Qualifying Marks: Generally, 60% or above is required to qualify. Reservation-related relaxations may apply.
