Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) conducts the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) every year as an eligibility test for recruitment to various Group B and C posts in Uttar Pradesh.
- Exam Date: 6th and 7th September 2025 (in morning and evening shifts each day)
- Application Dates: 14th May 2025 to 17th June 2025
- Exam Mode: Offline (OMR-based)
- Type of Questions: Objective-type Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ)
- Total Questions: 100
- Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
- Negative Marking: 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer
- Certificate Validity: 3 years (from the date of result)
- Eligibility: Minimum 10th pass
- Age Limit: 18–40 years
- Purpose: Qualifier for applying to main exams of various Group B & C recruitments under UPSSSC (e.g., Lekhpal, Junior Assistant, X-Ray Technician, etc.)

Candidates qualifying the PET will be eligible to apply for Group B & C main examinations to be conducted separately for specific posts. PET is the mandatory qualifying examination for all such posts.
